AI Wound Scan (educational, not a medical device)
Upload a de-identified wound photo and get an educational read — likely wound type (across the full range: vascular, traumatic, burns, surgical, moisture, atypical), the stage it appears most consistent with (if pressure-related), dressing categories to consider, and red flags to escalate. Built on NPIAP 2019/2024, IWII 2022, IWGDF 2023, ABA, IDSA, WOCN, ISTAP and more — each read names its source.

Before you scan a wound
- This is an educational tool — not a diagnosis and not a medical device. A photo can't replace a hands-on assessment: it can't feel the wound, judge depth, check blood flow, or detect odor.
- Staging, wound-type, and dressing decisions belong to the provider and wound-care team, following your facility's policies.
- Do NOT upload anything that could identify a patient — no faces, names, tattoos, jewelry, documents, or name bands, and no PHI. Follow your facility's photography and privacy policy (many require a facility device).
- Your photo is re-encoded in your browser before sending, which removes GPS/EXIF location data. It is processed for the single analysis and is not stored.
- The tool may decline a photo that doesn't look like an assessable wound or that may contain identifying details. That's working as intended.
